The Conrad Weiser Youth Lacrosse Board met on October 12, 2026, to discuss preparations for the upcoming box lacrosse and spring seasons, registration updates, equipment purchases, fundraising opportunities, and upcoming community events.
As we continue preparing for another exciting year of lacrosse, our focus remains on providing a positive experience for our players, supporting our coaches, and growing the sport throughout the Conrad Weiser community.
Here's a recap of the important updates and decisions from our October meeting.
Registration and Box Lacrosse Updates
Registration for the upcoming season is officially open! At the time of the meeting, we had 12 players registered for the spring season.
We are also excited to continue moving forward with our 2026–2027 Box Lacrosse Program, which is scheduled to begin on December 5, 2026.
Currently, five players have registered for box lacrosse:
5th/6th Grade Division: 3 players
7th/8th Grade Division: 2 players
The club has declared two teams, one for each age division, with an estimated cost of $1,400 per team.
We encourage families interested in box lacrosse to register as soon as possible! Early registration will help us finalize rosters and prepare for the season.

New Equipment and Club Improvements
The board continues to invest in equipment and resources to improve the experience for our players.
Box Lacrosse Goalie Equipment
The club recently purchased $3,009.81 worth of box lacrosse goalie equipment to prepare for the upcoming indoor season. This equipment will help ensure our goalies have the proper protection needed for box lacrosse.
New Lacrosse Goals
The board approved the purchase of two additional lacrosse goals for future play days, practices, and club activities.
Equipment Storage
We are continuing to explore the possibility of installing a new equipment storage shed at Conrad Weiser High School. We are currently awaiting approval to move forward with this project.
Important Parent and Coach Meetings
To help everyone prepare for the upcoming spring season, the board has scheduled two mandatory meetings.
Coaches Meeting – December 14, 2026
This meeting will take place during our regularly scheduled board meeting. Coaches will discuss expectations, season preparation, and important club information.
Parent Meeting – February 1, 2027
All parents will be asked to attend this meeting before the spring season begins. We will review expectations, schedules, communication, and other important information to help ensure a successful season.

Girls' Lacrosse Play Days and Tournaments
Dates for upcoming girls' lacrosse play days and tournaments have been released.
The board is reviewing the available opportunities to determine which events best fit our teams and club schedule.
Our goal is to provide our girls' teams with opportunities to develop their skills, gain game experience, and enjoy competitive lacrosse throughout the season.
Once the schedule is finalized, we will share additional information with families.
Fundraising and Our 5th Annual Bingo
Fundraising remains an important part of keeping our program affordable while providing quality equipment and opportunities for our players.
We are currently developing a dedicated fundraising page on our club website where families and community members can learn about upcoming fundraising events and ways to support Conrad Weiser Youth Lacrosse.
Save the Date – 5th Annual Bingo!
Our 5th Annual Bingo fundraiser is tentatively scheduled for March 20, 2027.
This has become an important fundraising event for our club, and we look forward to another successful year.
More information regarding tickets, prizes, sponsorships, and volunteer opportunities will be announced as planning progresses.
Upcoming Community Events
We are excited to participate in several community events this fall!
Truck or Treat – October 17, 2026
Our club planned to participate in the Womelsdorf Truck or Treat event to connect with local families and help spread the word about youth lacrosse.
Jack Frost Parade – November 1, 2026
Conrad Weiser Youth Lacrosse will be participating in the annual Jack Frost Parade!
We will be distributing candy and registration flyers to help promote our program.
Volunteers Needed!
We are looking for parents, coaches, and players to walk with us during the parade and help represent our club.
Please note that only adults are permitted to throw candy during the parade.
We appreciate everyone who helps make these community events possible!
Growing Lacrosse in Our Community
The club is continuing to look for new ways to introduce lacrosse to families throughout the Conrad Weiser School District.
We are working with Conrad Weiser Middle School to have our Sunday throw-around sessions included in the school's morning announcements.
These sessions are a great opportunity for players to get additional practice, build confidence, and enjoy the game.
We are also exploring opportunities to advertise registration through digital signs at local businesses, including JBT Bank and the Robesonia Fire Company.
Club Operations and Planning
The board also discussed several important administrative items to help keep the organization running smoothly.
Club Insurance: The board is reviewing Directors and Officers (D&O) insurance options to ensure appropriate coverage for the organization.
Board Transition Binder: A new binder has been purchased to organize important club documents and assist with future board transitions.
Player Safety: Our registration form now includes a section where parents can provide important medical information, including allergies and pre-existing conditions that coaches should be aware of.
Financial Management: The club is consolidating its banking accounts and preparing its annual Form 990 tax filing.
These improvements will help us stay organized and continue building a strong foundation for the future of Conrad Weiser Youth Lacrosse.
